»Friedrich Schiller stayed here on 12th January 1782 while on his way to Mannheim for the premiere of “The Robbers”.
Due to its central location in the Mannheim/Heidelberg/ Ludwigshafen triangle, as well as its proximity to Hockenheim/Speyer, the HOTEL ZUM ERBPRINZEN is also the ideal starting point for interesting excursions in the region, for example the Hockenheim racing circuit, Heidelberg Castle, and Speyer Cathedral. Ali Ghawami and Marcus Walz took over the hotel and adjoining restaurant in August 2013.
The hotel’s romantic modern Biedermeier style was retained in order to match the palace’s historical ambience.
As a counterpart to the hotel, the restaurant was completely refurbished and decorated with vintage motor sports paraphernalia by world-renowned bike builder and motorcycle designer »Marcus Walz.
